Inside the house, most of our work is plastering and skimming. A skim is a thin finishing coat over existing plaster or new plasterboard, giving a smooth, flat surface ready for paint. Where old plaster is blown, cracked or coming away from the wall, it may need taking back and replastering instead.
Re-skims and new plaster
We re-skim tired walls and ceilings, plaster over new boarding, and patch and make good after other trades. Whether it's one room or a whole house, the aim is the same: flat walls, crisp corners and a finish you're happy to decorate.
Clean and tidy
Plastering is messy work, so we protect floors and surfaces and leave the place clean when we finish. It's one of the things our customers mention most in their reviews.
Drying out
Fresh plaster needs time to dry before you decorate, and we'll give you straightforward advice on when it's ready for a mist coat.
Where we work
We plaster and skim from our base in Bridgwater, across Somerset and Dorset. Recent work includes a flats renovation in Taunton and a new extension in Westonzoyland.
